James Myers is a versatile actor, singer, and teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from James Madison University and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from George Mason University. He has worked with many organizations in the D.C. area including Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre, The Washington Savoyards, Theatre of the First Amendment, and the Little Theatre of Alexandria. He has also performed abroad with the Middle Saxony Opera Theater in Freiberg, Germany.

As a private voice teacher James teaches private voice lessons both through George Mason University’s Potomac Arts Academy and through his private studio. He is a full member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. James works to help his students develop a solid vocal technique that can be applied to a variety of singing styles which include classical/opera, musical theatre, and contemporary/popular music. James has experience with helping students eliminate tension in the voice and coaching repertoire as singers prepare for auditions, competitions, and performances.

When he is not acting, singing or teaching, James enjoys writing, exercising, trying new restaurants and exploring any place with mountains.
